Through all of my surfing the web and discovering new web sites and blogs, I came across a photograhper, Emilie. http://photobyemilie.blogspot.com I have admired her photos for almost a year now and check her blog frequently to view all of her beautiful photos. I have always wanted to have family pictures taken by a professional photographer, and Emilie is who I want to take family pictures after Thomas comes. She has had a few givaways and I won this one for a 10 minute photo shoot of your child with Santa. We went on Saturday, December 19th. I knew it would not be easy, since Charlee is afraid of people dressed as Santa, but thought we'd give it a whirl. Charlee just would NOT smile. She was scared of Santa and would not even warm up to Emilie. It was really cold inside, so I think that had a little to do with her giving no emotion. She did smile a few times, so I hoped Emilie was able to get at least one good picture. Anyway, we ordered the disk and I got it in the mail on Tuesday. (Really fast!!) There were 11 images and I was very please that she was able to get some really cute shots of Charlee. These are 4 of the 11 that Emilie took.I was glad she got a good one of Charlee with Santa. Charlee got excited because Santa had asked her what color of plastic high heels (or as Charlee calls them, "plastic healings") she wanted for Christmas, so she turned to him to say "Pink".
I think the picture above is my favorite picture of Charlee! She is so cute and I just love her so much!!!

She smiled good for this shot too!! So cute!!

She is just so sweet in this picture and I love it that you can see her tights!!
I am doing Christmas/Birth Announcements so it will be January when those go out!
We wish everyone a
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Week 38

I had my last non stress test and doctors appointment today!! Everything looks good. I am dialated to a 3 and the doctor said that I could go any day now. If not, we go into the hospital Monday morning. I am just hoping he stays in until after Christmas morning. Then bring on the pain. I AM READY!!!!!!!!!

16.12.09

Last Ultra Sound!

Ultra sound went good. Baby weighs about 6 lbs 12 ozs.
Unless I hear back from my doctor the
28th will still be the day!!!
12 more days!!
I go in next Tuesday, Dec. 22nd for another
NST and my doctors visit. The last ones!!

15.12.09

37 Weeks

Todays non stress test went very well and my doctors appointment went well too. Baby is doing great and very squirmy. Still dialated about 2 1/2 centimeters and 75% effaced and having mild, irregular contractions. (I also lost 6 pounds this last week!) He says we still look good for inducing on December 28th unless the ultra sound shows something bad. We go in tomorrow at 2 for the ultra sound. I am excited to see the baby and a bit worried.
Here is Charlee after playing with markers while Lynn was asleep on the couch.
Thank goodness for washable markers!!

9.12.09

DECEMBER 28TH!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless Thomas decides to come before December 28th, or something happens before then, we will be going to the hospital that day to be induced!! It is so weird knowing that in under 3 weeks he will be here.
I had a non stress test yesterday and the baby is doing great!! Then I had my 36 week check up afterwards at my doctors. Everything was great and he did a cervical exam and I am 2 and a half centemeters dialated and 85% efaced. So I am on my way. Due to the high blood pressure they like to get the baby out 1 to 2 weeks before the due date, so he chose a week before my due date,Monday, December 28th to induce. The baby could always decide to come earlier or if I have any complications come up. I go back for another non stress test and doctors appointment next Tuesday the 15th and for an ultra sound on Wednesday the 16th to see about how big the baby is. If he is too big I may be induced sooner. I am also nervous/excited that he is also going to fix the problem that I still have from when Charlee was born. It has been really hard to deal with but I really need it fixed. It is more surgery and depending on what this baby does to me they will have to cut another 4th degree tear to sew everything back up properly. So I will have a longer healing time like I did with Charlee. It took over 8 weeks to completely heal from her, so I am really not looking forward to that.
Until next week!!!
I dressed up Char and we went to Wheeler Farm to take some fall pictures. We had a lot fun. These are just a few of the pictures. She is so good to pose for me.

Thanksgiving 2009

We had a good Thanksgiving this year. It was nice to not travel and to have family come here. My mom came on Monday, then Dan, Charisse and Ireland came on Wednesday and then, of course Erline came over on Turkey Day. It was fun to have it at my place. We did not do much but it was nice to just chill and eat yummy Turkey!!! Charisse did announce that they are expecting in June. So that was a nice suprise.
Then on Saturday evening was my "We Also Sing" concert. Lynns parents, Kevin and Jackie, Jeff, Barbara, Karter and Karson were all here for my concert in addition to my mom, Erline, Ree, Dan and I-ball. It was fun, just a lot of standing. It was a good thing we did not have anymore songs, because at the end of the second performance I was about to die!! If I stand for a long time or walk around for a long time I start to get mild contractions and they are really uncomfortable!!!!
It was a crazy but fun weekend. It was fun having people here but was stressfull and tiring so lets just say that Hotel Brown is officially closed until at least February or March.
These are pictures I took of Charlee in October, but since I am not so good at posting, I am just now putting some up. They weren't that great because the sun was in a bad spot! But she is still cute!

1.12.09

Week 35

Today I went in for a non-stress test. They measure the amniotic fluid to make sure there is enough and then they put these things on your stomach to see if you are having contractions and to see how the baby is moving and his heart rate. Everything looked and sounded great. I go in on Dec 8th for another non-stress test and then my 36 week appointment at my doctors afterwards. Only Five more weeks!!

Week 34

Another check-up and everything is great. He did not do a cervical exam yet but he will in two weeks. I do, however, because of having gestational diabetes, have to go in every week for non-stress tests to make sure everything with the baby is fine. I go in on Tuesday, Dec 1st for my first non-stress test.

11.11.09

32 Weeks

I am officially in my eighth month, only 8 more weeks to go!!!!!! My doctors appointment went great yesterday. Baby sounds terrific and the meds are doing their job. My blood pressure and blood sugar levels looked good. I go back in two weeks, on November 24th. This time he will do a cervical exam. Yuck, but this is the part when he will let me know if I am dialated at all and if baby is getting in position and all that. I just can't believe how fast this pregnagncy has gone!
Now for some pictures. On Friday before Halloween, Charlee and I decided to carve some pumpkins. We ran over to Harmons to get some (they were dirt cheap!). Charlee picked out three. A Daddy, Mom and Baby pumpkin. Of course I had to do all the work but she chose which faces to put on them. The first one in this picture is the mom pumpkin and she said it had to be a scared face. The second one is the daddy pumpkin and she said to make it a nerdy face. Then her pumpkin had to have the scary face. She had fun and was so excited to put "fire" in them.
Here is her pose with her scary pumpkin!!

My Little Tinkerbell

Since September, Charlee knew that she wanted to be Tinkerbell. Before Tinkerbell she talked about being a goat. I don't know why but was glad she changed her mind. I found this really cute costume at Toys R Us that didn't feel cheap and nasty like most Halloween costumes and was cheaper. The only thing she insisted on was that she had a bun in her hair like Tinkerbell.
When we went outside to take pictures all Charlee wanted to do was "fly". So around and around the yard she went!
We even got her a new pair of sparkly shoes. She LOVES them.

Here is her bun.

We went to our wards Trunk R Treat. Last year Char was afraid of everything, but this year she wasn't that afraid unless it was a child dressed as Spiderman. And there were a lot. This is Char clinging to Lynn as a Spiderman passes by. Even while typing this Charlee is scared of the Spiderman.
Charlee had so much fun and was very good at saying Trick or Treat and then saying thank you when she recieved her treat. Now she is excited for Thanksgiving.

27.10.09

30 Weeks

I went in today to the doctor so that he could see how I was doing on the blood pressure meds and how I was doing with my blood sugar levels. He said that my numbers looked great. I was so relieved! No insulin so far! Now I start going every 2 weeks. My next appointment is on November 10th. I am just so excited that little Thomas will be here soon! I can't wait!!!!!

21.10.09

29 Weeks

Once again, another doctors appointment has come and gone yesterday. The baby sounds great. I am so grateful for that!!!! My blood pressure looked good and I have have done pretty good with the gestational diabetes. I also lost 8 pounds!!! (Just goes to show that just changing your eating habits, you can loose weight!) I have been able to keep my blood sugar levels under the numbers they told me to but the doctor said that they were still on the higher end and will only get higher in the upcoming weeks. So I was put on a medication that will help lower my blood sugar levels and I will be able to eat a bit more at meals because I need to be gaining weight not losing it! I still have to eat six times a day, watch what I eat and check my blood. I go back next Tuesday, so that he can see how my blood sugar levels are with the medication. The lady that draws my blood at Maternal Fetal Medicine for a study that I volunteered for, said that I will probably be coming to MFM more often for non stress tests and most likey another ultra sound to make sure the baby isn't getting too big. I can't even take Charlee with me anymore because of the whole Swine Flu crap, which I need to vaccinated for. I am thankful that my friend Paige is willing to watch Charlee. It will be nice when my mom is here because then she can watch Char at home. Only 10 and a half weeks, or less, to go. I am getting nervous and excited!!! (I am also dying for a fresh beverage right now. Preferably Dr. Pepper. I havn't had soda in a month!!)
Now for a couple of pictures of Char.
Charlee likes to wear different colors of socks and different shoes. Her Aunt Mindy would be proud!
My Pea Baby!
She is soooo excited about the arrival of Tommy!! But don't call him that, in front of Charlee. She'll say "That's not his name. His name is Thomas Hunter!"

13.10.09

My Dad

I got this picture off of my sister-in-law, Tina's, blog. It is a picture of my Dad with my brother Steven. Isn't Steven cute. This picture makes me cry. I miss my Dad!

(Check out the sweet TV in the background with rabbit ears.)

6.10.09

Please No Insulin!!

I had to keep track of my blood sugar levels for a week and then call the dietician back to let her know what my numbers were. So I called this afternoon to let her know. I knew I had some high numbers after some meals, since I had to kind of figure out what certain foods did to my blood. But the last couple of days I did really well. I did notice that in the morning when I take my blood first thing, that it was always high. And that is what the dieticians concern was. So she is going to send my doctor my results and referal to put me on medication. She said that some doctors skip the medication and will go right to insulin shots. I really do NOT want to do shots. I am already upset that I have to do medication. So now I wait to hear from my doctors office to find out if it is medicaton or insulin that I have to do.
On the lighter side of things, this is my favorite picture of Charlee jumping on Kirks trampoline. I took a lot of pictures and this is the only one that turned out. I love it!!!! Thank goodness for digital cameras.

My Baby Shower

On September 26th my sisters, Erline and Charisse, gave me a baby shower. It was a lot of fun. A friend in my ward in Virginia gave me my baby shower when I was prego with Charlee and about 8 women came who I had never met. I was very thankful that these women came to a shower for someone they didn't know. But it was nice to have a shower with my friends and family, too. Me in my moms VERY, TOO BLUE kitcken. Yuck!! (To the color of the kitchen!)
Erline made me a diaper cake and I am very proud of her. I taught her well!

Charlee sampling the cake frosting.
It was a lot of fun and I appreciate all the work Erline and Ree did. They did not disappoint.
We played some games, had yummy food and I got some cool stuff. I recieved a lot of clothes that I really needed and my sister-in-law Jackie made this really cute car seat cover out of fleece with monkeys on it. (I'll have to post a picture of it.) That is definatly going to be useful!! I also recieved 5 blankets. That is what I got the most of with Charlee. It's like weddings, there is always something you get a lot of. (Ours was towels!)

29.9.09

Gestational Diabetes!!!!!!!

Yep. I have Gestational Diabetes. Not only do I get to take blood pressure meds and check my blood pressure 3 times a day, I now get to test my blood sugar 4 times a day and really watch what I eat. Thank goodness I do not have to take meds or insulin shots, yet. That could still happen and the lady said I will probably have to go to the doctors more frequently and have non-stress tests and ultra sounds done to make sure the baby is fine. More money that we don't have! And I am still not suppose to STRESS!! Good luck with that. I have already been crying all day. I am glad that I only have 3 months left. I just hope everything goes well.

Diabetes?!?!?

Well, I got a call from the nurse at my doctors office this morning and she said that one of the blood tests from the 3 hour glucose test was high. So I am headed out at 1pm to the Diabetes Center at St. Marks Hospital for counseling and they are going to give me a blood sugar tester machine thingy, which must mean I get to test my blood everyday. JOY! I guess I'll find out in a couple hours exactly what I am going to have to do.

23.9.09

Crappy Health

At my doctors appointment yesterday I had to do the glucose test thingy that tests for gestational diabetes. You just drink this nasty drink before you go to the doctors and then the take some blood. I got a call this morning with my results and the results were high. Not good. So I get to go in tomorrow a little before 9am and drink the nasty drink again and they will take my blood 3 times. One at 10am, one at 11am and one at noon. I have to stay there that whole time. My friend Paige is going to watch Charlee for me because a lab is no place for a 3 year old for 3 hours!
I am just so upset that my health is not good during this pregnancy. It just makes it so I might have more complications and that we will be paying for this for a long time. I am really glad that my mom is retired so that if I end up with bed rest or other complications my mom can be here to help out with Charlee. She will be gone to Germany until November 7th, so I hope I won't need her before then.

22.9.09

Week 25

I had another doctors appointment today. The baby sounds great, which is a big relief. I always worry too much about him. My blood pressure on the other hand was not good. It again was slightly higher than it should be so he decided to put me on high blood pressure medication. He said that about this time blood pressure can dip and be normal or slightly higher than it should. But in the 3rd trimester (only 2 more weeks till I will be in my 3rd trimester) is when blood pressure can skyrocket. The problem is that there is no way to predict what will happen. So he is hoping that by starting me now on medication it will help to control it if it is going to get worse. I am also suppose to check my blood pressure a few times a week and if it gets really high I am suppose to call. I was also told to continue to take it easy and not to get too stressed over anything.
This weekend will be our last trip to Twin Falls. I am happy to go home but glad that this will be our last trip this year. I always worry about the ride there and with all this unpredictability about my health, I just want to be here if something were to happen. I am very excited that Dan, Ree and Ireland and my Mom will all be here for Thanksgiving (and of course Erline) and that my Mom is going to be here for Christmas and stay until the baby is born and will be here for a while afterwards to help out.
I am worried but I have faith that everyting will be ok! (But I still worry!)

Our 1st Garden

This was the first year we planted a garden and we had good success. Actually, Lynn planted it and took care of it for the most part. He knew more about gardening than I did. Anyway, we planted......carrots,
tomatoes,

peppers,

corn, cucumbers, beans and lettuce greens. Everything grew except for the beans. Out of three rows, only one plant grew. However, we have had a lot of beans off of that one plant. Our cucumbers did the best. We have had over a hundred and fifty cucumbers. We have done our best to give as much away as we can, but a lot still ended up in the trash. We learned a lot, though, and hopefully we will have better success next year. There are some other things we would like to grow and I want to learn how to can some of it or freeze some. (We need a freezer for that!) In the end we are pretty proud at what we accomplished with this garden.

Our 10th Anniversary

On August 7th we celebrated our 10th Anniversary. I can't believe it has been 10 years. It has definately been full of ups and downs but totally worth it. Besides having Charlee it has been the most rewarding and best things I have ever done. We left on Friday, August 7th and headed to Las Vegas and came home on Monday, August 10th. (Had I known I was pregnant before we planned this, we might have gone somewhere that didn't require so much walking!) We still had a lot of fun. It was nice to be just us for a few days. However, we missed Charlee terribly! Charlee had a full week end of fun with her Aunt Erline!! We were glad to be home. Since this was the first time away from Charlee since before she was born (3years ago!), we realized how much we really needed this small vacay with just the two of us.

There is a Serendipity 3 right in front of Caesars Palace. Their food is excellent and of course I had to try the frozen hot chocolate!!! Divine!!!! If we ever go past Vegas on a trip, I will definately be stopping for a frozen hot chocolate!!

26.8.09

21 Weeks

Yesterday I had my doctors appointment. It went ok. The baby sounds great but I still had high blood pressure! Apparently I have had high blood pressure for every visit but no one told me. I was kinda mad about that. Anyway, I asked the doctor what the results were from the 24 hour urine test. He said that they like the score to be below 300 and my score was 385. He said that it is higher than they like it but that it is not anything to be too concerned with, yet. He still seemed very concerned. He said that I could still develop pregnancy induced hypertension, preeclampsia or even a kidney infection. There is just no way of knowing until you have it. He considered putting me on medication but decided not to. However, he said that he may have me do the 24 hour urine test ($$$$) again a couple of times later on just to keep a close eye on everything. So he pretty much told me that all I can do is to take it easy, try not to get too stressed and not to over do anything. I really do not want to be put on bed rest!! I had such a perfect pregnancy with Charlee, so this is really sucky and it worries me. We also had great insurance with Charlee and with this pregnancy we already owe more than what we paid for Charlees entire birth. Yes Jackie, those DAM bills!!! My next appointment is for Tuesday, September 22nd. I just pray that nothing extreme happens before then.

17.8.09

Halfway

I am 20 weeks along today!!! Halfway there. We are all excited about Thomas' arrival. Charlee was asking me the other day "When is Thomas going to come out?" She is excited to play with her little brother and help bathe, dress, feed and change his diapers. Only 20 more weeks!!
(This is Charlee after playing with a stamp pad. It was a Saturday and Lynn was up with her but he fell asleep.)

We Are Having A..........

BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

28.7.09

17 Weeks Down

Today I had a doctors appointment. I was really nervous for some reason. But no fear, the babies heartbeat sounded great. However, my conditon wasn't the best. I had high blood pressure and there was some protein in my urine. The doctor seemed very concerned, which, I guess is good, but it made me more nervous. So I have to collect my pee for a 24 hour period and then take it into the lab tomorrow. Charlee is holding the jug that I am to keep in the fridge with my pee in it. Yuck!! (Don't worry, there is nothing in it yet.)I am worried. I read up on high blood pressure during pregnancy also known as preeclampsia and it sounds scary. I am hoping that I do not develop that. I am not sure if I will get a call about the results or what, but so far my next appointment with my doctor will be on August 25th.
I do go in on Monday, August 3rd for an ultra sound to make sure things are fine and to find out what we are having. I am soooooo excited to find out!!!

Char-ball and I-ball at the Zoo

On Friday, July 3rd, Dan, Charisse, Ireland, Me and Charlee went to the Zoo. Since I have been many times I don't take a lot of photos but this was cute. Charlee got a shirt for her Birthday from her Uncle Kevin and Aunt Jackie (thanks guys!) that matched one that Ireland was wearing that day. So when Ree came she brought Irelands shirt so that the girls could wear matching shirts. They were so cute holding hands.

The Moore's

A couple of weeks ago I took pictures of my friend Paige and her family. It was fun but it sure can be hard to take pictures of kids. I definatly needed another person to be there to try and get little Eli to look at the camera. I hope they liked at least one of the pictures. I was a bit disappointed more of the pictures didn't turn out better. I definatly learned some things that I need to work on. I am hoping that some day I can take some photograghy classes to get even better. Until then, I have Charlee to practice on. Here are some of my favorite shots.
Miriam
(That is Charlee's arm that got caught in the picture.)

Little Eli
(He smiled, just not at the camera!)

This was actually the very first picture that I took.

The 4th of July 2009

Dan, Charisse and Ireland came last week-end to spend the 4th with us. We decided to go to the farmers market at Liberty Park in downtown SLC. I thought I'd get pictures of the girls before we headed out. This is my favorite picture of Char-ball and I-ball.

The girls each got a balloon animal (well, Charlee's was a flower) and Ireland popped when she fell on it. This was her reaction. I thought the picture was cute!

Bazooka lips (as my dad would say!)

30.6.09

13 Weeks Down

Hooray!!
Today I had a doctors appointment to check on the baby. Charlee came with me, since all they do is use a little doppler thingy on your stomach to hear the heartbeat. Charlee was excited to hear the babys heart. So we get there and I am weighed (I have lost 4 pounds since my last vist) and peed on a stick thing and my blood pressure is taken and everything is fine. Then it is time to hear the heartbeat. I lay on the table and he puts the doppler on my stomach and moves it around. Nothing. He couldn't hear the heartbeat. So he just said that he was having a hard time finding the baby and that he was going to do an ultra sound to check the baby. So while I am in the ultrasound room I get a little teary. I fear that the worst has happened. As soon as the doctor starts the ultra sound he says everything looks good. It took me a little to see the baby but there it was. I could see the head and arms and the little heartbeat and the baby was moving around a lot. It was so cool to see!! Charlee was excited and said it looked like a baby Dolphine. I was so relieved!! My next appointment is in 4 weeks. I can't wait until they do the ultra sound so I know what I am having.

We Also Sing 2009 Concert

12 days ago, Merrilee Webb posted on her blog that it was time to sing again!!! It only took 11 days for 364 women to send in their money to reserve their spot. I sent my money in on Tuesday so I think I made it in time. I am so excited. Rehersals don't start until September, but I can't wait!! This years performance is on Saturday, November 28th at 5:30 and 7:30. This is the Saturday after Thanksgiving and the night they turn on the lights down at Temple Square. I have never gone, but apparently it is a big deal. I am also happy that my mom and Charisse, Dan and I-ball will be coming to spend Thanksgiving Day with us and be able to come to the concert. And of course Erline is here too. Yay!!!! (I am a little nervous that maybe I didn't get my money in on time. I don't know what they do if you didn't?)I still can't wait!!!!!!

I LOVE COUPONS!!!!

Ok, I had to write about the Grocery Guru so that this post would be understood.
Yesterday, I had checked the Grocery Gurus site to see what good deals there were and where to find the coupons, and I checked athriftymom.com to see what deals there were and printed a couple of coupons. Then, last night I got out my binder of coupons, I had my add from Albertsons and I figured out what to buy. So today this is what I got. The total for the stuff was $148.82. But after promos, discounts and my coupons it came to $44.49!!!! I have to say I am very proud of myself. I think I have this figured out and I have fun doing it. who would have thought!!!!

The Grocery Guru

On Tuesday, April 28th, my friend Paige calles me up to see if I would like to go with her to a class at the library with the Grocery Guru. She said that he talks about how you can get groceries for really cheap. My initial thought was,"Sure I'll go, what could it hurt? At least I'll have a break from Char and Lynn will have to put her to bed." So we went.
He talked about how you shop for only things that are on sale from one store and then if you have a coupon to add to the sale item to make it even cheaper. And in his plan you have to get at least two Sunday papers to get the Smart Source and the Valassis adds. (They have all the coupons.) Then you can go to his website and he does all the planning out for you. He said that he does different stores, but I have only seen him do Albertsons.
Anyway, after the class you can pay him $10 to go shopping with him. Paige really wanted to do it and I was courious, so we signed up to go shop with him. So we met up with The Grocery Guru and 6 other women at an Albertsons to shop. It was actually quite humerous. Eight women with carts following this man who is telling them what to put in their carts. I have to say that it was really fun and all this stuff (plus you got tw0 movie tickets for free) was only $40.00!!! I have to say I was hooked.

We started to get two Sunday papers (that's only $2 every Sunday) and putting them in a binder. I knew it would take some time to get the hang of it. Then Paige told me about a site called athriftymom.com that kind of does the same thing that The Grocery Guru does. So I started checking that site out and I LOVE it. The problem with The Grocery Guru is that if you don't do his list excactly as shown and get what he gets, you might not get the best deals. On athriftymom.com she actually explains what to do, different ways to do the sales and she also gives you links for coupons.

Now, I am not one to shop cheap. I think most stuff in dollor stores is crap (however, I do find a good thing once in a while) and I usually only go to thrift stores or yard sales to see if I can get a good deal on furniture or for a good laugh. But I have to say that I am hooked on this coupon thing!! I actually look forward to getting the new sale add for Albertsons on Tuesday. I have stocked us up on salad dressing, cereal (a buttload of cereal), Kraft Mac n cheese, Pasta salad, frozen meals and many other misc things for really cheap. We have never had a food storage but I have had a strong feeling that we NEED to get it started. Especially with a new baby on the way!! Now we have a great start and we got is all at least 75% less that if we paid full price!!!

Charlee's Party at Kirk's House

On June 20th we had a party for Charlee in Twin Falls at Kirks house. It was a lot of fun and it turned out nicely. The day started out kind of yucky but when we started the party the sun came out. When we started to put things away the thunder rolled in and there were a few sprinkles. I was happy everyone was able to come!! I really did not take that many pictures so I am regreting that but I know that Kirk and Charisse took some so it will be fine.
These are the favors that I made. The wand in the backgraound I made for Charlee and Miriam for her birthday (since I only had two). I made the floral crowns for the girls. The goodie bags for the kids I just stamped their names (I used the Delightful stamp set from Close to my Heart) on a brown lunch bag, filled it with goodies and stuck a paper shroom to the front (I just free hand cut the shrooms). Then I made birdhouses from paper and filled with Hershey Kisses for the adults to take home. I believe everyone should get goodies from the party.
Here is Chars Mushroom cake. It turned out a lot better than I thought it would. It was my own design and the proto-type I made for her birthday did not turn out as well. But I learned and that is what counts, right?

Kirks' stepsons LOVE snakes and reptiles, so they have many as pets. They even breed them!! So while we were waiting to start the party Kelsey got out some of the snakes for people to hold. Lynn is DEATHLY afraid of snakes, but for some reason he decided to hold one. He was still kinda scared, but he did it. Charlee even touched it, and she is afraid of most living things, (ants really fread her out) but she is getting better. I held this snake as well and it was my first time holding a snake. It was really cold feeling but I didn't mind it. Spiders are my fear!!!

It was a great day and it is fun to have both families together (Lynns and mine). However, since we hyped up this party to Charlee, she keeps asking when her next party is! It is hard to explain to a 3 year old that it won't be for another year!!
