"Project 365" : January 3-6

Here we go with my pictures for "Project 365"
Saturday, January 3rd
I LOVE Dr. Pepper. This is in bottle form, but I really do prefer it in "fresh beverage" form.
Sunday, January 4th
After church, Charlee was in a really bad mood. So I got the camera out to take her picture and she got even more angry!! What a little pill!
Monday, January 5th
I had to take a picture of our Christmas tree in the gutter. A sign that Christmas is over and that the once fresh, green, beautiful tree is now crispy and dead awaiting its fate in a chipper. It fullfilled its Christmas destiny.

Tuesday, January 6th
Charlee hugging her Cares Bears. She loves watching the movie and she will stick out her belly and say "Care Bears, stare!"

Love For Nie Nie Benefit Concert

Ever since the end of August I started following a blog http://www.nieniedialogues.blogspot.com . I actually came across it on http://www.ohsweetsadie.blogspot.com giftshow blog page. Stephanie Nielson (who writes the blog about her hubby and four children) and her husband Christian were in a plane crash earlier that month. The pilot, who was also a friend, did not survive. Christian and Stephanie both suffered severe burns and were in critical condition. So Stephanie's sister Courtney was updating Stephanies blog and her own blog http://blog.cjanerun.com (I also love Courtneys blog) with updates on how the couple were doing. Thank goodness they both survived but with a long road of recovery ahead. Since the crash there have been so many people wanting to help out. There have been donations given, auctions held and benefits to earn money to help out the Neilsons. So on February 2nd there is going to be a benefit concert in Provo and I volunteered to help out any way that I can. One way was to post this poster on my blog. I haven't heard back about anything else.
Many times while reading both blogs, I cried. Some of the posts were so touching or they had a message that I needed to hear. I want to thank Stephanie and Courtney for their blogs.

Baaaaaaaaaaaa!

I am sooo sick right now. So is Charlee. We both have this horrible cough. The kind you have to cross your legs for or you'll pee your pants!! (Having Char really did a number on me) I just feel like homemade poo. I am going to try to post some of my "Project 365" pics tomorrow. Till then.

"Project 365"

I have been pretty crappy about updating my blog. Kudos, to those bloggers that blog almost everyday. I am a fan of quite a few and I am always disappointed if by some chance they did not post something new for that day. I know I do not have a huge following, just a few friends and family, but I am going to try to post something everyday. (The key word is TRY!) This is, after all, suppose to be a digital journal of my life.
One way in order to achieve this is Creating Keepsakes designer Becky Higgins "Project 365". The challenge is to take a picture everyday for a whole year and then you do a two page layout of seven pictures for each week. So I have started the challenge. So far so good on taking a picture everyday, I just need to download them and scrapbook them now. I also plan on sharing my picture of the day here on my blog. I am going to have to play catch up since it is already the 15th.So today I am going to post my first picture. This is actually my picture for January 2nd. Charlee went outside to "help" Lynn shovel the driveway and sidewalk. He was shoveling the snow onto Charlee and she kept saying "more". So he partially buried her. It was a very sunny day, so she is squinting, but she still looks so cute. Charlee loves to play in the snow. She especially likes to make snow angels.

My Little Snow Angel

While we were at home for Christmas, Erline taught Charlee how to make snow angels. She absolutly loves making them now. It doesn't matter if she is all geared up for it or not. She just plops right down in the snow and starts flapping her arms and legs. She is quite good at it!

Christmas 2008

We went to Twin Falls, Idaho to my moms house for Christmas. We had a lot of fun! Charisse, Dan and their daughter, Ireland and Erline also spent Christmas at my moms. We had 5 fun days full of eating, watching movies and playing games. And this is the real shocker, no huge fights broke out this year. I think, no, I know this is a first. I was sad when we had to leave, but we were ready to go home.
Here are a few pictures from our visit:
This is little I-ball with her Pillsbury Doughboy stocking. Her face is just too cute. I wonder what she was thinking?
Here is Charlee with her favorite Aunt Erline!

Charlee in her new Jammies. She loves to put her hands in the pockets.

This is accually on Christmas Eve. Lynn and Charlee taking an afternoon siesta.

Christmas Presents

This is an ornament I made for my mom for Christmas. It is a voice recorder used in scrapbooking. I decorated it and made it so that my mom can hang it on her tree. The recording is Charlee saying "I love you". However, I should have decorated it for everyday use. My mom did not pack it, she has kept it out so that she can hear Charlee say "I love you" anytime!
This next picture is what I made for all of my family and Lynns family this year. I stiched the picture and then bought frames to put them in. I started in November and finished the last on on December 20th. I made 9 of them!! It was fun but got a little boringtowards the end, but I love to give gifts for everyone, so it was worth it.

I will post some Christmas pictures next. I have been a little slow at updating my blog!
