My Poor Piano

I purchased this piano shortly after Lynn and I got married, from the Greenwoods. I was their babysitter all through jr. high and high school. I remember when they got it. Their daughters Megan and Maddie were starting piano lessons and they needed a piano for the girls to practice at home on. I always loved it and told Sheri that if she ever got rid of it that I wanted it.

The day finally came and they wanted it gone, so for $100 bucks it was mine. We did not know where to keep it because there was no way to get it to, or room for it in our small apartment in Washington. My mom knew a newlywed couple in her ward that said they would keep it at their house.

Right before we were to move to Virginia, the couple were moving too and needed us to take the piano so Mindy and Russ said we could take it to thier house in Virginia until we could take it. Then they left to Germany but they had it put in with their long term storage which was fine cuz we had no room for it. Now they have decided to stay in Germany for a loooooooong time so they needed to get their long term storage sent to them so they had my piano sent to me.

I was so excited. When it showed up, they took it out of the crate and unwrapped it and this is what it looked like. I am really sad because I wanted to teach Charlee basics on this piano but I can not even open the lid all the way to even play it. The top was broken off, the hammers (the internal part) are all messed up, 12 keys don't even work, the carved part came off, and the list goes on. The piano was insured and we sent in a claim so we'll see if we get any money.

I fixed it up so that it doesnt really look broken, but that is pretty much all it is good for now is a decorative peice of furniture,
The hammers are all out of wack.
The bottom shiffed so it tilts really bad.
Misc peices that broke off.
All fixed up for Halloween!
