"Project 365" March 10-12

Tuesday, March 10th

This is a picture that Charlee drew. It is a picture of dolphins. She even gave them eyes, ears, hair and feet. Yes, Charlees dolphines have feet.Wednesday, March 11th

Today while I was making dinner she came into the kitchen and said "Oh no! A Monster!" So I followed her into the front room and she had laid out all of my pot holders and a few other items on the floor and said it was a monster. She has a very BIG imagination. I hope she never loses it.
Thursday, March 12th
I had gotten Charlee ready for bed and we were waiting for Lynn to get home from work. Charlee really wanted to talk to her daddy, so we called him. She talked with him on the phone and drew the whole time until he got home!

Friday, March 6th

Erline came over tonight to watch movies, but before we could do that Charlee wanted Erline to read to her before bed. Erline spread her blanket on the floor and Charlee sat in her lap. Charlee absolutely LOVES her Aunt Erline. This is a perfect example of why I wanted to live closer to family! Saturday, March 7th

Today we went up to Layton to see our friends Chris and Kristen, and their kids, Avery, Braden, and Kelsey. They are moving to California and we wanted to see them before they go. No trip to Layton (or Orem) is complete without stopping at Krispy Kreme. Mmmmm!!! (We heard they are going to put in an In And Out burger joint in Draper soon. I hope so. Mmmmm!!!)

Sunday, March 8th
After we got Charlee dressed today, she wanted her sunglasses on. She put them on her head and her hair looked like this. We just thought it was funny.

Monday, March 9th

Today, Charlee got into my makeup. She opened up my new mascara and attempted to apply it to her eyes. I was a little mad, but I had to grab my camera and get a picture. I am just glad she didn't take out one of her eyes in the process!!

Not The Winner

Well, Close To My Heart announced the grand prize winners for the contest that I was a finalist for. I did not win, but that is ok. I can see why they chose the winners. Some people are just so talented!! However, my "Charlee Canvas" was posted on Jeanette Lynton's blog along with the other finalists and the winners.. I am just so thrilled that I was chosen as a finalist and that my little Charball's picture and my art work are on a blog read by many people!! I hope they do another contest like this. I am already thinking of some projects that I could make.

Tuesday, March 3rd

No visit from Grandma Strader is complete without a visit to the toy store. Charlee likes Toys 'R' Us, so that is where we went. A Sesame Street toy cought her attention, so she placed it on the ground and got down on her tummy to play with it. Wednesday, March 4th

Well, when we got back from the toy store Charlee had for gotten about the small Tinkerbell with Lady bug toy that Grandma Strader got her. Wednesday morning she remembered. She loved the Tinkerbell movie so my mom got her a tiny Tinkerbell. Here Charlee was showing how cute the lady bug is.
Thursday, March 5th
Charlee is sooo spoiled. Grandma Strader also got her a wood play pizza from Target for her Kitchen. It was suppose to be for Easter but my mom gave in. Charlee loves to play with it!!

Friday, February 27th

Erline is giving a co-worker a baby shower next week and wanted me to put together a diaper cake for the shower. Here is what it looked like. I think they are fun to do, they are a great decoration , and then useful for the mom-to-be.Saturday, February 28th

We went to browse around at RC Willeys (furniture store) just for something to do. Charlee enjoyed trying out all of the couches and chairs. Here she is saying "Cheese" in her most cheesiest way.

Sunday, March 1st

Today we went for a drive to Tooele, Utah, just to see what it was like. It is way out in the nowheres. On the way there the freeway goes by the Great Salt Lake. I have never seen the Salt Lake up in person, only from the air. It was really cold and really stinky, but it was fun to just go for a wasl on the shore. We will definatly have to make a visit to the lake
this summer.

Grandma Strader comes to visit!!! Charlee was soooo excited. She loves to play with Grandma!!

My First Acrylic Album

This is my first acrylic album that I put together. It was a lot of fun. A little harder than an album with solid pages, but I enjoyed the challenge. There was really no theme, I just used some of my favorite pictures of Charlee. I used all Close to my Heart products.

Monday, February 23rd

Charlee got her first pair of flip flops today. They are her favorite pair of shoes right now! Gotta teach her young.Tuesday, February 24th

While I was checking my email today, this is what Charlee constructed. She lined up her movies and then placed a toy on top of each one. She has a very good imagination.

Thursday, February 26th

Today is Erlines birthday, so we went over to her house while she was at work and put up the banner I made and some balloons and streamers. I also did her dishes for her. Charlee had a lot of fun "helping".

Wednesday, February 25th

This is the "card" I made for Erline. It is actualy a scrapbook page. I bought an album and placed the picture inside and then gave it to her. I plan on making more pages for her album in the future and when Char is a little older she can make some pages to add to it.

Just another trip to Target. One of many. This is Charlee's (and my) favorite place to go. She loves the toy area but what kid doesn't!
Saturday, February 21st

We went to Wheeler Farm today. It is a historic farm here in Midvale. They have all sorts of farm animals and a duck pond for people to walk around and look at. It was fun. We will have to go back during the summer when it won't be so muddy!!! We sat Charlee on a branch in a tree and I took pics but the background was really bright and Char turned out dark. I snapped some of Char with her daddy and they turned out better. I really need to learn how to use my camera better!!

Sunday, February 22nd

Lynn was on call today and had a go to Park City. We stopped at the outlet mall to walk around. Charlee spotted the toys and ran over to go for a ride with Kermit. She has come a long way with not being so scared of everything. A few months ago she would have never gotten in this car with Kermmy.

We went to Best Buy to look around and Charlee came upon the Guitar Hero display. She really likes the guitar!
